The Dueling Society is a fun project in which any person of any martial background (or none at all) can challenge another to a controlled duel. Champions can come from any historical weapon’s background or try their hand at something completely new. Full protective equipment (respective to the kinds of weapons used) must be worn by all Champions and weapons must be pre-approved by judges. HEMA-standard gear is what we use for both steel and synthetic matches. Your first fight is free. Every duel after that requires a small fee to challenge.
Each duel will be filmed and posted to YouTube. We encourage Champions to sign up and challenge one another as a fun way to encourage cross-cultural training between disciplines. NOTE: Some weapons will be given a handicap due to advantages (polearms, staffs, ect). There are no weight classes, gender caps, or bans on one weapon fighting another. You do not need to be affiliated with any school or discipline to fight. Just the will to win.
