OUR COMBAT FUNDAMENTALS CLASS
Mondays at 6:00PM-6:30PM
This course focuses on the foundational body mechanics that make Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) effective. Rather than only teaching techniques, students learn how posture, footwork, balance, structure, and rotational movement generate power, control, and efficiency in longsword fencing.
FUNDAMENTALS OF MOVEMENT
Using drills and movement training inspired by historical longsword traditions, the class develops cutting mechanics, distance management, defensive structure, and fluid transitions between strikes, thrusts, and grappling concepts. Students gain a deeper understanding of how and why techniques work by examining the biomechanics behind the art. The curriculum runs on a continuous rotating schedule, allowing new and returning students to join at any point during the month without falling behind. Suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners looking to refine their movement and martial fundamentals
